It is with a heavy heart that we share some truly sad news today. The Lagos State governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the last election, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has lost his beloved mother.
Mrs. Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso) passed on to glory on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Announcing the painful loss, the politician expressed his heartbreak, highlighting the deep and unending love he has for the woman who brought him into the world and shaped his beliefs.
Mama Nkechi, who was born in 1957, was a true matriarch. She hailed from the respected Waboso family in Ovim, Abia State, and became a central pillar in the renowned Rhodes-Vivour and Anifowoshe families of Lagos.
According to her son, she was a woman who held a strong belief in the potential of Nigeria and worked to instill that same passion in her children.
This is a profoundly difficult time for the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and the entire family.
