A man posing as a Department of State Services operative has been nabbed in the Federal Capital Territory after allegedly shaking down unsuspecting drivers for money.
The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a man identified as Moferewa Maiye after he was caught impersonating a personnel of the Service in Abuja. The arrest, which took place late on Wednesday, has once again shone a spotlight on the growing menace of fake security operatives preying on innocent Nigerians in the nation’s capital.

Maiye had apparently been moving around Abuja with the confidence of a man who thought he would never get caught — presenting himself as a legitimate DSS agent and using that false identity to extort motorists.
