A Nigerian woman residing in Spain has shown that she did not travel all the way from the land of bold, fearless women to come and be treated like a criminal in a foreign country. The courageous lady confronted a supermarket worker who allegedly singled her out for a bag search — while ignoring every other customer in the store.
In a video that has since gone viral online, the woman recounted that she had just finished her shopping when the supermarket attendant decided that her bag, out of everyone else’s, needed to be inspected.
She Was Not Having It
True to the spirit of the average Nigerian woman who knows her rights and is not afraid to demand them, she did not quietly comply or bow her head in embarrassment. Instead, she faced the worker squarely and asked the question that many people in her position are too intimidated to ask:
“Why didn’t you search other people’s bags, but you’re searching mine?”
