The Bauchi State Police Command has apprehended a 24-year-old security guard for allegedly defiling two minor girls, aged 4 and 5 years old, in what has been described as a despicable act that has shocked the community.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Nafiu Habib, revealed the arrest in an official statement released on Sunday, March 8, 2028, detailing the disturbing circumstances surrounding the case.
Details of the Incident
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the suspect, identified as Kamaluddeen Aliyu, who works with Al-Ansar Security Limited, allegedly lured the innocent children into a security room at Tsohon Company on separate occasions where he sexually assaulted them.
The matter came to light when the mother of one of the victims, a 30-year-old woman, reported the incident at ‘B’ Divisional Police Headquarters on February 23, 2026.
“On 23rd February 2026, a 30-year-old mother reported at ‘B’ Divisional Police Headquarters that a security guard with Al-Ansar Security Limited, Kamaluddeen Aliyu ‘m’ aged 24 years, lured two minors (4 & 5 years) into a security room at Tsohon Company and had unlawful carnal knowledge of them on separate occasions,” the official statement confirmed.
Medical Examination and Investigation
Following the report, both victims and the suspect were immediately taken to the Police Clinic for comprehensive medical examination to gather evidence and ensure the children receive appropriate care.
The Commissioner of Police, demonstrating the command’s zero-tolerance stance on sexual violence, particularly against children, has directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to transfer the case to the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Unit for thorough and detailed investigation.
