A 43-year-old man has been arrested by the Oyo State Police Command for allegedly killing his elder brother with a heavy rock after claiming the deceased shot him in a dream.
The shocking incident occurred in Sepeteri, Saki East Local Government Area of Oyo State, leaving residents of the community in disbelief.
The suspect, identified as Lateef Suleiman, allegedly attacked his 52-year-old elder brother, Mustapha Amidu, with a heavy rock, striking him fatally on the head.

According to the Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, who briefed journalists on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the bizarre incident was reported at the Ago-Amodu Divisional Police Headquarters in Sepeteri.
A witness, Badmus Yunisa of Alegunlode Compound, Sepeteri, reported that trouble started when Lateef accused his elder brother of shooting him in a dream the previous night while he slept.
“The suspect claimed that his brother, Mustapha Amidu, shot him in a dream,” DSP Olayinka explained in the official statement.
Acting on this strange accusation, Lateef allegedly approached Mustapha where he was seated, picked up a heavy rock, and struck him violently on the head before fleeing the scene immediately.
Medical Response and Confirmation
Following the brutal attack, concerned residents rushed the victim to Ileri Oluwa Hospital in Sepeteri for urgent medical attention. Tragically, the medical doctor on duty confirmed that Mustapha Amidu had died from his injuries.
