King Charles III and Queen Camilla, together with Prince William and Princess Kate, gave President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, a grand welcome during Nigeria’s state visit to the United Kingdom on Wednesday, March 18.

The British royal family pulled out all the stops for this historic visit. Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales personally presented our President and First Lady to the Royal Family – na proper VIP treatment o!

42-Gun Salute and Royal Treatment

As befitting a visiting Head of State, President Tinubu was honoured with a magnificent 42-gun salute by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery. The streets of Windsor town were beautifully decorated with both royal and Nigerian flags flying side by side – a beautiful sight that made every Nigerian proud.

This kind of ceremony no be small thing o! The British reserve this level of honour for only the most important state visits, and Nigeria definitely deserves it.
