Summary: Cameroonian broadcaster Leonard Bruce claims real women act like “possessed spirits” and provoke their partners. His controversial statement has Nigerians talking about relationships and loyalty.
A Cameroonian broadcaster and life coach has set social media ablaze with a controversial take on romantic relationships that has Nigerians divided.
Leonard Bruce, widely known as Mr Behyia, took to Facebook on Monday, March 23, to share his unconventional views on what makes a woman “real” in a relationship. According to the broadcaster, if your woman doesn’t drive you crazy with provocation, then she’s simply not authentic.
“If your woman doesn’t make you go crazy with provocation, then she is fake,” Mr Behyia wrote in his now-viral post.
But the broadcaster didn’t stop there. He went further to compare truly dedicated women to supernatural beings that Nigerians know all too well.
“Real, dedicated and loyal women act like possessed spirits. Like ‘ogbanje’!” he declared, invoking the Igbo mythological spirit known for tormenting parents with unpredictable behavior.
A Statement That Has People Talking
Mr Behyia’s comparison of devoted women to ogbanje spirits – known in Nigerian folklore for their complex and often troublesome nature – has sparked heated conversations across social media platforms.
The broadcaster’s theory suggests that drama, provocation, and emotional intensity are hallmarks of genuine love and commitment from a woman. By his logic, a peaceful, drama-free relationship might actually be a red flag indicating that the woman isn’t fully invested.
This perspective challenges the conventional wisdom that healthy relationships should be characterized by peace, understanding, and minimal conflict.
