The Industry Mourns
The loss of Tenia Abraham Omenogor is yet another painful reminder of how fragile life can be. At just 32, she was in the prime of her career — a young woman who had carved a space for herself in one of Africa’s most vibrant entertainment industries.
Nollywood has seen its share of heartbreak in recent times, and news of Tenia’s passing has once again reignited conversations around healthcare access and kidney disease awareness in Nigeria.
Kidney Disease: A Silent Killer Nigerians Must Take Seriously
Tenia’s passing shines a spotlight on kidney infections and kidney disease — a health challenge that affects thousands of Nigerians every year, yet often goes undetected until it reaches a critical stage. Medical experts consistently urge Nigerians to:
– Stay hydrated — drink enough clean water daily
– Go for regular medical check-ups — don’t wait until you feel unwell
– Reduce excessive consumption of painkillers — they can damage the kidneys over time
– Monitor blood pressure and blood sugar levels — both are major contributors to kidney disease
Rest Well, Tenia
To her family, friends, and everyone in the Nollywood community grieving this loss — our hearts go out to you. Tenia Abraham Omenogor may be gone, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
