A teacher in Machinga, Malawi, has been taken into police custody following shocking allegations that he engaged in sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old female student in Standard 8 — the equivalent of JSS 3 here in Nigeria.
The arrest was confirmed by Machinga Police Station’s Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Western Ka, who disclosed that the suspect was apprehended after the matter was reported to authorities.
A Betrayal of Trust
