The star of legendary country music icon Dolly Parton on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been restored to its former glory after it was vandalised in the wake of her death — and fans across the world, including her Nigerian admirers, are breathing a sigh of relief.
Photos obtained by entertainment platform TMZ confirmed that the star had been fully repaired by Friday, September, showing no trace of the damage that had been done by heartless individuals who chose to desecrate the tribute instead of honouring it.
Who Was Dolly Parton?
For those who may not be fully familiar with her legacy, Dolly Parton was an American country music superstar, songwriter, actress, and philanthropist whose influence stretched far beyond the borders of the United States. Known for timeless classics like I Will Always Love You — yes, the original version before Whitney Houston made it a global anthem — Dolly was a cultural force to be reckoned with.
The Vandalism That Shocked the World
News of the vandalism drew widespread condemnation. For many people, the Hollywood Walk of Fame star represents more than just a celebrity’s name on a pavement — it is a permanent tribute to decades of hard work, artistry, and contribution to global culture.
That anyone would choose to damage such a memorial, especially so shortly after her passing, left fans deeply upset. As Nigerians would say, some people just no get home training.
The Restoration
Thankfully, the responsible authorities wasted no time in setting things right. The star was swiftly restored, ensuring that Dolly Parton’s legacy remains properly honoured on one of the world’s most famous streets.
It is a reminder that no matter how much negativity some individuals try to spread, the love and respect people hold for true legends will always prevail.
Rest in peace, Dolly. Your star — on the ground and in the hearts of millions — will never fade.
