Nigerian security forces have demonstrated once again that the country will not serve as a hiding place for international fugitives.
The Nigeria Police Force, working through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) in Abuja, has arrested and repatriated Mahadijiria Abdoulaye — a Chadian national who thought he could escape justice by crossing into Nigeria.

Abdoulaye, who is wanted by authorities in N’Djamena, Chad’s capital, for murder, apparently believed that slipping into Nigeria would put him beyond the reach of the law. He was wrong.
Acting on intelligence and leveraging Nigeria’s cooperation with INTERPOL’s global network, operatives tracked the suspect down in Kano State — a major commercial hub in Nigeria’s North-West region that shares cultural and historical ties with neighbouring Chad.
The suspect has since been handed over to Chadian authorities to face trial for his alleged crime.
