Organisations like the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and other creative industry bodies need to do more. There should be robust welfare funds, health insurance schemes, and pension plans for entertainers. Our legends should never have to beg for medical help publicly. They deserve better — far better.

The outpouring of support from Nigerians online following Ngozi Nwosu’s appeal showed that the love for her is real and deep. From Twitter to Facebook to WhatsApp groups, Nigerians were sharing, donating, and calling on authorities to act. And act they did.
