The Benue State Police Command has arrested a young woman after she allegedly cooked up an elaborate fake kidnapping plot — targeting none other than her own mother — in a shocking bid to extort ransom money.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Orchia Peter Aondongu, the suspect staged her own abduction and made ransom demands to her unsuspecting mother, who must have been thrown into a state of panic and grief at the thought of her daughter being in the hands of kidnappers.
