Ah, good news don finally land for Oyo State, and we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief! After what must have been a harrowing experience, the teachers and school children who were recently rescued have been officially handed over to the Oyo State Government.

The man of the moment, Major General Chinedu Nnebeufe, who is the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 2 Division, Nigerian Army, personally led the rescued team to the Oyo State Secretariat in Ibadan earlier today. You can just imagine the scene—a mix of relief, tired smiles, and the official start of their journey back to normal life.

Honestly, we have to give a big shout-out to our gallant soldiers of the 2 Division. These brave men and women put in the work to ensure the safe return of our people. It’s moments like this that remind us of the sacrifices our armed forces make to keep us safe.

Now that they are in the care of the Oyo State Government, the real work of healing begins. We expect they will receive proper medical attention, counseling, and all the support they need to recover from this ordeal before being fully reunited with their anxious families. This is a very important step.

This is a win for everybody—a win for the families, a win for the community, and a win for our security forces. We continue to pray for the complete safety of all Nigerians. A big ‘well done’ to everyone involved in this successful rescue and handover
