Omo, the matter wey dey happen for Oyo State don get international passport o! Governor Seyi Makinde of the Pacesetter State has decided that this issue of school kidnapping is not something to be swept under the carpet. He has officially called on the big guns – the United Nations (UN) and other international human rights bodies – to come and look into the recent abduction wahala.

In case you missed it, some school pupils and teachers were recently kidnapped in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. Na serious fear catch everybody. Thank God they were rescued, but the story no end there.

Now, here is the real gist. Governor Makinde is not just asking the UN to investigate the kidnappers. He is also saying, “Abeg, shine your torchlight on the rescue operation itself.” This means he wants complete transparency. He wants the whole world to look into exactly what happened from the beginning (the kidnapping) to the end (the rescue). No hiding, no cover-ups.
