The news coming from Sokoto State this time is just heartbreaking. It seems like every time we check the news, it’s another sad story about insecurity, and this one really hits hard.
Reports confirm that these wicked people, these so-called bandits, stormed Kulodo village in Bodinga Local Government Area and left a trail of sorrow, tears, and blood.
And who did they target? The very leader of the community! They killed the Village Head, Alhaji Abubakar Tudu. As if that was not enough evil for one night, they also murdered his firstborn son, Abubakar Abubakar. Can you imagine? A father and his son, gone just like that.
The attack didn’t stop there. Four other innocent residents of the community were also killed, bringing the total number of people who lost their lives in this senseless attack to six.
Honestly, when will all this stop? How can bandits be so bold as to enter a community, target a traditional ruler, kill him and his own son? It just shows the level of impunity we are dealing with in this country. People can no longer sleep with their two eyes closed. From farms to villages, nowhere seems safe again.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the family of Alhaji Abubakar Tudu and the entire Kulodo community. This is a heavy loss. We pray that God grants the departed eternal rest and gives their families and the whole community the strength to bear this terrible tragedy.
