Summary: Think that ‘job offer’ in Ghana is your ticket out? Think again. Three Nigerian women have been caught trafficking young girls. Read the shocking details and learn how to protect yourself and your sisters.

My people, gather round. The hustle is real, and everybody is looking for their own greener pasture. This “Japa” spirit has entered everybody’s blood. But as we dey find our way, we have to shine our eyes well-well, because wickedness is real, and sometimes, it wears a familiar face.
The latest gist coming from our next-door neighbours in Ghana is enough to make your stomach turn. The Ghana Police Service has arrested three Nigerian women for doing the unthinkable—trafficking our own young girls to Ghana and forcing them into prostitution.
The Gist: When Your Own People Betray You
And the most painful part? The people who did this thing are our own sisters. See their names: Peace Agbede, Favour Sunday Udo, and Faith Levy.
According to reports from the Upper East Regional Command in Ghana, these women were running a wicked operation. They’d lure young, unsuspecting girls from Nigeria with promises of a better life, only to trap them in a living hell.
When the police raided their hideout, they rescued four of our young sisters who had been forced into this horrible life. And to show you the level of evil these women were planning, the police recovered 265 unused condoms. Just imagine the scale of the suffering they intended to inflict. Two hundred and sixty-five. Let that sink in.
Shine Your Eye! The Enemy Is Closer Than You Think
This case is a serious warning to everyone, especially our young women. The desire to leave Nigeria and “make it” is strong, but we cannot be desperate. These traffickers are not always strange men in dark alleys. As this case shows, they can be a “friendly aunty,” a “family friend,” or someone who speaks your language and understands your struggles.
They use that connection to gain your trust before they show you their true colours. That “juicy job offer” in Ghana, Togo, or even Europe that sounds too good to be true? Please, ask questions! That person promising you heaven and earth once you cross the border? Investigate them properly!
We Must Do Better
It is a thing of shame that our own people are the ones orchestrating this kind of evil against our own. It’s on us to be our brother’s and sister’s keeper.
1. Talk to Your People: Warn your sisters, daughters, nieces, and friends. Let them know that not all travel opportunities are legitimate.
2. Question Everything: If someone is rushing you to make a travel decision and paying for everything without clear terms, that is a massive red flag.
3. Use Your Phone: In this digital age, a quick search can reveal a lot. Do your research. Be skeptical.
Our young women are treasures, not commodities to be sold. Kudos to the Ghana Police Service for this arrest. As for Peace, Favour, and Faith, they have brought shame upon themselves and our nation.
Please, share this post. Let this story go far and wide. You never know who you might be saving from a similar fate. Stay safe and shine your eye
